One day you see that your favorite band is going on
tour, and they are coming to you! OH I'm so going no matter what, is
your first thought. So you buy a ticket and wait in excitement for the day to
come. The wait is excruciatingly long even though it’s just a month or two it
seems like eternity. In the mean time the band may come out with new material
and you listen to them as much as you can until you know every word.
This band means more to you than any others; not
only do you listen to their music and follow them on social networks, there is
a personal connection with the members and their music. You may not have met
them or be their friend, but you are a fan who cares for them and supports what
they do. Their songs may have a special meaning to you, which helps you through
the day or even put a smile on your face. They have now become more than just a
band; they have become part of your life. To see them live with others who feel
the same way as you, and to support your band is the best feeling.
Finally the concert has arrived; and knowing that
you get to see your idols has you even more excited. As you stand in the crowd
waiting for the show to begin your heart begins to race. Then the lights go
down and screams start to rise. Your blood boils with excitement as you see
your band step out into the spotlight and sing your favorite song. You cannot
help but to sing along and jump to the drum beats. How amazing are they live?
You never want the night to end as they sing all the best songs. As they come
to the end of the show you are, sweating and tired and aching all over. Though your
whole body hurts you would never trade this night for anything. You know that
you could do this again in a heartbeat. Oh you hope they come back soon and you
know you will be there once again.

I really enjoyed how described the entire concert experience. Also, I liked to you each step to going to a concert. For example, you state the steps from buying the ticket, driving to the venue, waiting to the band to come on stage, to finally watching the band play your favorite songs in person.
ReplyDeleteYes, I loved how she described this experience, too. I loved how she started with, "OH I'm so going no matter what!", because that often is my first thought when I hear that my favorite groups are coming to town. When I lived in Detroit, I used to go to so many concerts. I haven't been to one in a long time, but your blog makes me want to go. One concert a month is a great rule of thumb. Nice job! Kimberly
